What We Do
The Holy Cross Education Foundation was created to provide administrative and financial support to schools in disadvantaged area, such as Holy Cross Anglican School in San Pedro, Ambergris Caye, Belize. We need many partners to fully realize this vision.
The Foundation primarily exists to cover expenses not provided by the Ministry of Education. Those may include the construction and maintenance of the school building plus all utility costs, non-teaching staff salaries, classroom furnishings and supplies, the library, computer lab, office equipment and personnel, and a feeding program.

On the Path Forward...
The 2022-2023 academic year at Holy Cross Anglican School was a year of refocusing and finding the best path forward as San Pedro emerged from the Covid crisis.
- Students returned excitedly to classes. Under the careful guidance of Principal Olivia Tasher the teachers worked hard to keep the children moving forward with their studies.
- The women in the kitchen continued to serve up hot lunches and nutritious snacks to strengthen the students’ bodies and minds.
- Groups of dentists from the US found their way back to Holy Cross to clean teeth and educate on the importance of good oral care.
- Returning mission teams were welcomed with open arms as they reconnected with Holy Cross and made the journey to help with roofing, painting, playground upgrades and many other projects.
The Holy Cross Education Foundation Board was busy overseeing the construction of a 34,000-gallon cistern with purification system that is fully operational and delivering water to the school offsetting a significant monthly expense.
We are excited about the much anticipated ground breaking for a multi-purpose building on campus that will serve as a chapel, community center and classrooms. This will open many opportunities for mission teams and family groups to assist with the construction. There will be work for both skilled and those who want to learn.
Together, the Anglican Diocese of Belize and the Foundation are actively searching for a priest to serve Holy Cross and the San Pedro community.
None of this would have been possible without the constant and faithful support of people like you. We are very grateful for your investment in Holy Cross. Your gift will help to keep the students of Holy Cross Anglican Primary School on the path to academic success.
