The Mission of Holy Cross Education Foundation
The mission of Holy Cross Education Foundation is to provide funding and administrative assistance to primary schools that strive to provide the highest quality primary education to children in disadvantaged areas in developing countries.
The Holy Cross Education Foundation is a US based, not-for-profit, 501(c)(3), organization. The Foundation was organized, and is supported by volunteers across North America with the goal of ensuring schools, like Holy Cross Anglican School in Ambergris Caye, Belize, continue to make a positive change in the lives of children by providing access to a quality education.

It is the mission of Holy Cross Anglican School to provide the highest quality primary education to the children of San Pedro. We seek to effectively prepare our students for life beyond our walls – mentally, morally, spiritually, emotionally and physically – by providing a Christ-centered, state of the art educational environment. The health, welfare and positive development of each student is our highest priority. We take our mission seriously. Teachers and staff work hard each day to make this happen.
Vision for Holy Cross Anglican School
Our vision is to support the efforts the Ministry of Education in Belize, the Anglican Diocese of Belize and the wonderful staff and teachers of Holy Cross Anglican School to provide what they need to thrive and continue to educate students from from varying backgrounds.
Additionally, we strive to:
- Be an Anglican church homebase to island residents and visitors
- Be financially and environmentally sustainable through ongoing projects that provide renewable energy and clean water to our students and staff
- Prioritize projects that support the education of our students while maintaining fiscal responsibility to our endowment and our donors
- Provide an option on the island for our students to have vocational training opportunities that dramatically increase their chance of finding meaningful work that will sustain them and their families for a lifetime.
